Last week, I ordered groceries online (again) and I expected 3 bags to come in. Guess what? I got 4 bags instead and apparently, the driver mixed up the orders with another customer! This is the first time it happened to me ever since living in Spain.
But hey, there’s always a first time, right? 😅
Here’s what I didn’t get because of the mix-up:
— Ben & Jerry’s ice cream
— white onions
— dishwashing pods
— Chips Ahoy XL cookies
Instead, here’s what I got (from the other customer’s bag):
— granola cereal w/ nuts & choco bits
— too many fresh peaches
— green bananas
— 1 sweet potato
— a big AF melon
Honestly? I thought it was a steal. I got a refund from the delivery platform AND I got even more items than I originally paid for.
And later on did I realize… this mishap led me to having healthier alternatives at home.
And that same night, I made caramelized peaches for my bagel and fried plantains as a midnight snack. Cool, right? 😎

Yep, I know, the year’s almost coming to an end. Halloween is just around the corner and it’s a big reminder that 2026 is also coming fast!
BUT I’m not a big fan of New Year’s resolutions.
Sure, it helps in goal-setting and all, but I find it overwhelming.
Instead, I like to keep my goal-setting flexible and keep it available throughout the year.
So I won’t wait until the year ends to adjust my daily habits and do what I need to do now on the road to a healthier me 🥗 (I gotta cut down on my sugar!!)
